Created during the Fall/Winter 2024 semester in Graphic Design Studio 1, taught by Christopher Previte. This work reimagines Deftones – Koi No Yokan (2013) through the lens of a special reissue, including redesigned vinyl artwork and liner notes.
The project’s premise was to fully reinvent the visual presentation of an existing musical album. I chose Koi No Yokan, a 2010 album by Deftones, both for its emotional significance to me and its compelling visual identity. Throughout the process, I immersed myself in the album, translating its sonic textures and mood into a visual language.
The final piece is an ethereal, abstract digital photocomposition that captures the essence and atmosphere of the album without drawing directly from the original art direction. The project demonstrates my ability to interpret music conceptually and translate auditory experiences into a cohesive and visually engaging design.
