Alternate album cover and liner notes, composed during the Fall/Winter 2024 semester in Graphic Design Studio 1, taught by Christopher Previte. Pictured work represents "Deftones - Koi No Yokan (2013)". The premise of the project was to fully reinvent and design the vinyl artwork and liner notes for an existing musical album, in the vein of a special reissue of the album. For this project, I chose Koi No Yokan, a 2010 album by the band Deftones, and a album I carry a emotional connection to, and love based on it's strong accompanying visuals.
Throughout the creation of this project, I listened through the album, trying to visualize the audible aesthetic of the project. The end result is an ethereal, abstract digital photocomposition, that I believe faithfully represents this album without pulling any direct inspiration from the art direction that was officially employed by Deftones with the original release of Koi No Yokan.
